By Bobby Berger

The Los Angeles Kings enter the season with probably the deepest team they have had in GM Berger's tenure. The Kings have slowly been building from within with players like Taylor Raddysh, Jared McCann, and Cameron York who have been with the team since their rookie years.
Those players, who are now vets for the club hope their leadership can help with the eager young pups. David Reinbacher, Vince Dunn, and Matvei Michov, all who have been drafted in the last 3 seasons and are now going to be asked to play meaningful minutes.
On defense the Kings brought back P.K. Subban, who had one of his best ever seasons in a Renaissance year last season with the belief he could be a leader. It looked for a long time like he would be the most high profile Kings player until a trade was made which shocked LA fans. The Kings, a team that has been known to be stingy in trading their future 1sts made a move in acquiring Jared Cowan from Buffalo. The Kings parted with draft picks as well as stud D man Seth Jones, but the opportunity to bring in Cowan just proved to be too much to pass up. Cowan will be leaned on to match up against top lines as he has his entire career.
In goal the Kings brought back Viktor Fasth. The 86OV goalie just proved to be too difficult to move on from even though the Kings have their goalie of the future in Sebastian Cossa waiting in the wings.
When all is said and done the Kings, like their NHL counterparts, are hoping to make it out of the first round of the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. Stay tuned as nobody truly knows what the Sim will bring!
