This is Bob Cobb coming to you from Rumors Sports Bar with another report on our beloved Preds of Nashville~ 

Well, while the team has been playing some great hockey on the season as a whole..  there was recently a rather large bump in the road which cannot go ignored.  A few games back, the team completely unraveled on the ice in a 10-1 meltdown against the Coyotes and the performance left most everyone with the same question..  'what in the hell happened?!'  We got a word with GM Erickson about it.. 

"...yeah, that wasn't an enjoyable evening, Bob..   you would expect more from a veteran leader like Cam (Talbot), but I suppose nobody's perfect so...  yeah, water under the bridge hopefully. We'll have him attend some counseling and make sure everything is good, but I've met with him myself..   I think he's going to come out of this just fine. Alcohol is a helluva drug.."  - GM Erickson

At least we all now know what happened that night..   well, for the most part. The team statement was short, but what I've gathered from it and the words from several inside sources..   Cam got pretty drunk the night before the game because everyone knew Linus was starting against Phoenix. Apparently he didn't expect to get the call in to play, because once he got out there..  you could tell something wasn't right. Stumblin' around the crease like your average beer leaguer. Thankfully he only faced 10 shots to close things out, but he managed to allow 5 goals so..   it was pretty gross to say the least. It makes a bit more sense now looking back at how the end of that game played out, because it didn't seem like the Preds players really cared to give Cam much support given his unprofessional demeanor at gametime. 

Then again, like GM Erickson said..  we'd all (ok, 99.7% of us) be lying if we said we hadn't been too hungover to perform in some capacity or another.  It seems as though Cam's teammates have forgiven him since that horseshit appearance so..  I think we all should too :)
