This is Bob Cobb coming to you from Southgate Casino, Bar, & Grill with another report on the Preds of Nashville~

Well, the FNHL Trade Deadline has officially came & went, folks..  and it was definitely an active trade front league-wide! Plenty of teams were swapping futures for big names in the now & vice versa..  an exciting time to be an FNHL fan!! So what did we see the hometown team do at the deadline?  Well, as usual we saw a handful of moves from GM Erickson..   but really there were only 2 trades that look to have an effect on the teams potential postseason run. 

The first saw the team send young D Brock Faber over to the Devils in exchange for a 3rd rounder and the rental services of veteran D Jack Johnson. Jack's solid all-around game and top-notch leadership/experience should make him an easy fit & definite upgrade over previous 6th man Ryan Murphy. The second rental trade brings the team some solid supplemental RW scoring in the form of one Nikolay Goldobin (pictured above).  The swap with Boston cost the team another solid defensive prospect in David Farrance, but the hope is that it's the final move needed for the Preds to return to their former glory. 

While the team may have the top seed out West already locked up, it'll be interesting to see who their 1st round matchup will end up being. And yes Preds fans, I feel the same way..   please just don't let it be the Sharks :)
