This is Bob Cobb coming to you from Rumors Sports Bar in down Nashville with a report on our beloved Predators~

Well, for the 2nd straight postseason we saw the Preds drop Game 7 in the Finals and sure..  we all enjoyed the ride to get back there, but talk about a disappointment. Some may not recall because the league history can be somewhat cloudy on the results of the 2028 & 2029 playoffs.  In 2028, the Preds were able to repeat as Cup champs and on the verge of a 3-peat in 2029, they took on Wes and his Habs -- annnnd they unfortunately fell in Game 7.  With similar results in the 2030 postseason with another Game 7 upset (versus the Flyers), we now see a team that's looking to avoid a rare kind of 3-peat...

"...yeah, I mean if we were to lose a 3rd consecutive Finals in Game 7, Bob..   I don't even, yeah I don't care to think about that! The goal is to get back to the Finals and do whatever it takes to close it out in 6 games or less!!  We aren't the Buffalo Bills of the NHL..  well, not yet anyways.."  - GM Erickson

The results so far in 2031 have been solid as the team sits atop the Western Conference with a 12-3-4 record. The scoring has cooled off a bit after a fiery start to the season, but the goaltending of one Cam Talbot has continued to be top-titty. Check out the stats on this dude..

Ohhh and did we mention he's racked up 5 shutouts?! Talk about being on pace for a record. A big tip of the hat goes to the defense of course as the Preds blueline has quite literally never looked better. The dirty combo meal of Cowan/Hedman gives opposing teams the runs on the regular and 3rd fiddle Griffin Reinhart has certainly had a laxative effect as well (huh?)..  

Speaking of laxatives, I gotta wrap this up annnnnnd hit the restrooms...  Go Preds!
