This is Bob Cobb coming to you from Southgate Sports Bar & Casino in downtown Nashville with a report on our beloved Preds~
Well, in their past 10 games the team has put up a solid 7-2-1 record and it's been refreshing to see them lighting the lamp more often. The team's collective shooting percentage was almost dipping into the 7% range last time I checked in.. but I'm happy to report that they're now above 9%. With this much scoring talent in the lineup, we expect to see them hit the 10% mark & beyond sooner than later. Of course, anything can happen in this crazy FHL Sim-world so let's not get greedy, folks~
While top forwards Brandon Dubinsky & Pierre-Luc Dubois have been all-stars as expected, it's veteran Dman Jared Cowan who still leads the team in total scoring with 31 points in 32 games. We got a word with Jared about his early season success and he kept it short & stale..
"...ohhh yeah Bob.. it's been nice. Points are fun.. they're like really.. nice. Yeah.." - D Jared Cowan
Stale indeed. Cowan's success on the scoresheet is great to see, but the team's overall defense has been a big help to their goalies, Cam Talbot & Jesper Wallestedt. Both tenders are having great seasons with save percentages above .920 and much of that can be credited to the effective defensive environment here in Nashville.
Until next time, I'm Bob Cobb and I wish this could be a full-time job.
