Duck's Make Moves In Hopes Of Improvement

By Dillon McGillivray

The Duck’s have been sitting just below the middle of the standings for most of the season now. “I’m not impressed with the level the team is playing at thus far” GM McGillivray stated. “I have high expectations this season for the squad and I’m not going to accept less then that” he added.

The Duck’s made a blockbuster deal with Philadelphia seeing the likes of Filip Zadina and Matt D’Agostini sent east for star defenseman Charlie McAvoy, forwards Ryan Spoon and Rasmus Asplund. To try to spark the so-far struggling Duck’s. So far the assets have been making a good impact but the team still seems to be struggling with putting up consistent wins.

Some bright spots for the Duck’s have been the impressive goaltending from Garret Sparks. He’s been doing well when he’s been filling in for Halverson. Posting a record of 4-5-1 with only 2.38 GAA and an impressive save percentage of 9.17. Another player that has been playing out of his skin recently is Jordan Schroeder who has put up 5 points over the last 4 games for the Duck's.

Halverson is set to start tonight in Anaheim and the Duck’s hope to pick up 2 points in what should be an entertaining game against the Dallas Stars.
