Nothing good to say

After starting all gang-busters, the New York Islanders are looking like a dumpster fire now that the reality of the season has sunk in.

"When we get into slumps like this, I look at the scoreboard and then go home. Nope, I don't get too deep into the stats of why we lost as we are a rebuilding club and until we develop more prospects, there are more holes than there are plugs to fill them. History has taught me to just walk away and let it be, f&^# it, I let Jesus take the wheel." said a visibly frustrated GM.

The Islanders expectations on the season were to be a fringe playoff team. Armed with better talent than last season, there was some optimism that they will take a tiny step forward. However, after the PistolNucks season preview had the team dead last in just about every known category, the fanbase is losing touch with the team.

"Better days are certainly on the horizon with this team. We have by far the deepest prospect pool in the league. Our farm club could easily be mistaken for a Major Junior team. It's just that we have to get through these lean years until those kids get their feet under them." said GM.

The Islanders will look to get off their slumping ways tonight against the Seattle Krakken.
