The Predatorial Editorial

By Anthony Erickson

This is Taco Stevenson coming to you from the comforts of my bedroom as I strive for greatness despite Covid's daily attempts to keep the man (me) down.

With a record of 18-9-2 after 29 games, there have easily been more 'ups' than 'downs' for the Predators.  Still, GM Erickson has made it apparent that he'd like to see a bit more consistency from the team. We had a quick word with him last night and here's what he had to say..

"..yeah, I mean.. some of our key guys are having career-years and it's great to see. Jared (Cowan) told me he'd go Beast-mode if we gave him more minutes and yeah, he wasn't kidding! Our goaltending has been solid, but we knew Thomas (McCollum) would be a wall. What we didn't expect was the play from the youngen, Mr. Oettinger. Only 20 years old and damn.. he's the future, Taco. He's the goddamn future. Overall, we could still be more consistent game to game.. we should be stomping teams a biiiiit more regularly with this group" - GM Erickson

While G Jake Oettinger has performed admirably thus far, he was just pulled from his last Pro start against Toronto so..  has he officially cooled down?  We shall see. It sounds like he'll get another start soon and likely against a team that habitually allows more goals than they score (ie. MN Wild)~

Up next for the Preds is a home game against a solid NY Rangers team. The defending Cup champs only have a few players left from last year's winning roster so, we don't foresee a whole lot of trouble pulling out a dirty W..  in fact, I hear that Tommy McCollum has predicted a shutout!  Oky doky.. watch him get pulled now. Homie shouldn't be messing with karma..  the FHLSim hears everything.
