Who's Hot:
• C Brayden Schenn - One half of the Panthers' big signings this offseason continues to lead the team in points. Schenn has earned every bit of his paycheck, and then some. After signing a modest contract to come play in South Florida, Schenn is on pace for 80+ points. He leads the team with 13 goals, 15 assists, and 28 points in 28 games played.
• RW Dylan Guenther - The 22 year old was poised for a breakout season, and it looks like he is well on the way. Shelling out 25 points in the first 28 games put Guenther on pace for a 70+ point season, surpassing his career high 57 points last year. The young winger is about to solidify himself as the number one winger on the team for the immediate future.
• D Philip Larsen - The other piece to the puzzle added this offseason, Larsen is every bit of the expectation. The Panthers needed a veteran defenseman, and Larsen came to Florida on a team-friendly deal for three years. At age 33, he is on pace for 47 points, which would be a career high.
Who's Not:
• D Carson Lambos - While the case can be made for several players on the "who's not" list, Lambos entered his second pro season with some expectations. In 28 games played, he has just 5 points and is a -12, tied for the lowest +/- on the team this season.
• C Tim Stutzle - Drafter first overall just a 6 seasons ago, Tim Stutzle has been disappointing this year. After a jump in points last year, he's on pace for just 38 this season. Along with Ehlers, his name has been mentioned in trade talks.
• LW Nikolaj Ehlers - The veteran they need in Ehlers, is not the one the Panthers are getting this season. His name is number one on the trade block, hoping for another team in need of a shakeup. Ehlers still has a ton of potential as a veteran winger, but he is off to a rough start in Florida this season. Time will tell if he finds a new home, or finds a way to turn things around.
