Looking across all 32 FNHL teams this list composes of the top 30 prospects who are 23 and younger and who have yet to play more than fifteen games in the Pro's. Evaluating their skillset, size, ability to get minutes on their current roster and most importantly their potential went into ranking these prospects.
1. Connor Bedard - Tampa Bay Lightning - Center - 77/19
To absolutely no one's surprise we see Bedard at the top of the prospects list with everything you could dream of in a forward prospect. The nineteen year-old has speed, great skating, an offensive playmaking set of attributes paired with 77 scoring at his age makes him elite.
2. Macklin Celebrini - St. Louis Blues - Left Wing - 76/18
Right behind Bedard is another 1st overall pick who seems to follow the same path as him. Celebrini seems to be starting the year in the farm to develop before taking over the Blues first line with new acquisition Michael Sgarbossa helping him develop.
3. Maveric Lamoureux - Vancouver Canucks - Defenseman - 77/21
As we will see on this prospect list defenseman will get a little more love just due to their complexity and rarity compared to forwards and our first D-man on the list is easily the most complete and Pro ready player. With 80 defense, a top line pairing and already an $19 million dollar contract I expect Lamoureux to be a great player for years to come.
4. Dmitri Simashev - Minnesota Wild - Defenseman - 76/19
While Nashville spreads the fairness around you can't blame new Wild GM Erickson taking Simashev with him. As a nineteen year-old he has everything besides his scoring at 70 rating or higher and standing at a whopping 6ft 5 this could be Jared Cowan 2.0
5. Topias Leinonen - Boston Bruins - Goalie - 78/21
The first goalie on the list comes from the Bruins who I think could very easily have the best prospect pool in the FNHL. With Varlamov turning 41 after this season I expect Leinonen to see some pro time this season as he moves into being Boston's goalie of the future.
6. Joel Edmundson - Chicago Blackhawks - Defenseman - 77/20
At 6ft 5in and 220 lbs I have zero doubt Edmundson can be a great lock down defender for years to come. Even with a stacked defenseman room it appears he could very well be playing top 4 minutes and the top penalty kill line as a rookie.
7. Will Smith - New Jersey Devils - Center - 76/19
With a small thirteen game sample size in his rookie year we saw on just 8 minutes per game three goals and a plus five rating. With one of the leagues best third line and the possibility of Smith getting second line minutes I could see a big year coming from him.
8. Adam Fantilli - Chicago Blackhawks - Center - 76/19
One of the most well-rounded prospects to come from the draft in recent memory we will see Fantilli develop in Chicago's farm for one more year before he joins the pro team to try and get some series minutes over Yamamoto.
9. Tij Iginla - Boston Bruins - Center - 75/18
The most recent 2nd overall pick and the son of the legend Jerome Iginla finds himself as the 9th best prospect. With a very balanced game and developing in one of the leagues best farm systems we can all expect Iginla to be a superstar eventually.
10. Vladislav Gavrikov - Dallas Stars - Defenseman - 75/20
Rounding out the top 10 we see a little bit of that defenseman and author bias with Vladislav Gavrikov. Standing at 6ft 3in and 220 lbs this twenty year-old former 21st overall pick looks to develop his already above average defense and bring his offensive attributes up just a little more in the farm before certainly joining Dallas's top 4 group next season.
11. Dalibor Dvorsky - New York Rangers - Center - 75/19
12. Liam Ohgren - Los Angeles Kings - Left Wing - 77/21
13. Leo Carlsson - Minnesota Wild - Center - 76/19
14. Matvei Michkov - Los Angeles Kings - Right Wing - 76/19
15. Brett Pesce - Calgary Flames - Defenseman - 77/20
16. Kasper Halttunen - Detroit Red Wings - Right Wing - 73/19
17. Zayne Parekh - Seattle Kraken - Defenseman - 74/18
18. Michael Nygard - Calgary Flames - Left Wing - 74/18
19. Andrew Copp - Boston Bruins - Left Wing - 76/20
20. Michael Bunting - Anaheim Ducks - Left Wing - 76/20
21. Dominic Badinka - Washington Capitals - Defenseman - 72/18
22. Danlil Butt - Seattle Kraken - Center - 74/19
23. Stuart Skinner - Calgary Flames - Goalie - 76/20
24. Noah Warren - New York Islanders - Defenseman 76/21
25. Jani Hakanpaa - Toronto Maple Leafs - Defenseman 75/20
26. Jimmy Snuggerud - Ottawa Senators - Right Wing - 75/21
27. Ethan Gauthier - New Jersey Devils - Right Wing - 73/19
28. Trey Augustine - Philadelphia Flyers - Goalie - 73/19
29. Ryan Leonard - Florida Panthers - Center - 75/19
30. Christian Dvorak - Columbus Blue Jackets - Left Wing - 74/20
