Stars Will Wait Another Year

By Ethan Smedley

The western conference playoffs have been decided and the Dallas Stars have not made it. It was a great year for the Dallas Stars finishing above 80 points this season after finishing with 66 points just last year. The year looked as if the Stars season was already over at the halfway mark, but rising play and some changing moves by the first year GM's resulted in a great second half of the season. The season changing move was starting Andrei Vasilevski over Josh Harding. Vasilevski put up a record of 21-12-4 this season, with this he finished 11th in the Vezina trophy race. Along with this move the GM's moved Warsofsky to the first line and Hamilton to the second line. This move tremendouly boosted play from the 2 young centers Keller and Kotkaniemi who put up most of their points in the second half of the season. This offseason the Stars will be looking for a elite Center or Right Winger to join Jamie Benn and Clayton Keller on the first line, along with a defensemen to help out with the defense. These moves could be what pushes this team to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
