The Collapsed Season Could Be Bright

By Ethan Smedley

The Dallas Stars Reporter Here, last time I talked with Dallas GM's Ethan Smedley and Payton Knoph the Stars were 4-3-3 with Josh Harding playing surprisingly well. Now 2 weeks later they are sitting at 6-13-3, the play of Josh Harding went down tremendously with the defensemen also not playing as hoped. This has caused the Stars to have a record of 2-10 since we last talked. This however could be a bright side to this organization. Here is Ethan Smedley talking about it, "This is our first season as the GM's so we were still getting a feel for everything, so I actually think it is great for us to get an understanding of where we are at as a team." With the Stars now being projected a top 10 pick they look for great play from 3 people in mind. Rickard Rakell, Clayton Keller, and Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Rakell has been making a name for himself after getting dealt to the Stars for a second round pick and posting 17 points in the 22 games he has played. The GM's are just looking for Rakell to keep playing great and the 2 young boys Keller along with Kotkaniemi to develop into future stars. (No pun intended)
