The Los Angeles Kings approach the trade deadline as bonafide sellers. The Kings will be shopping Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere and Ryan Mcdonuagh in addition to those on expiring contracts like Justin Holl and Paul Postma. On the front end the Kings are shopping Radek Faksa in addition to young gun Brayden Tracey.
While the season appears to be a lost one, not all is lost. The Kings still have a you g core to build around in Trevor Zegras, Cameron York, Taylor Raddysh, Robert Thomas, and Pierre Olivier-Joseph. All who are 24 or younger and are moving closer to being veteran NHL players.
In a strange review, LA goalie and former #1 overall pick appears to only play well every other year. This has decimated the Kings this season, but may bode well for next season, which is likely to be Fasth's last as a King.
We will see how the Kings fare over the last 30.
