With the final 6-8 games of the season coming up, it’s time
to look at what races are left in the FNHL endorsement pool. First, let’s check off the guaranteed winners
and losers, based on either already being complete, or so-close-they-can’t-fail.
From the top: At $12M, Morin (MON). At
$10M, Dubinsky (MIN), Husso (VEG), Nedelljkovic (TBL), Halverson (ANH), and
Subban (CGY). At $8M all teams are good to go, with Dallas, Jersey, Detroit,
Carolina, Washington, Phoenix, Vancouver, Minnesota, and Columbus all keeping
this summer’s training money in the bank! At $7M, Dal Colle (MON), Cowan (LAK),
Bjornfort (PHX), Chychurn (CGY), and the Hurricanes have sealed the deal. At
$3M, Caufield (NJD), Eichel (LAK), and the NY Rangers are successfully
completing their lower end endorsements.
There are, unfortunately, some confirmed failures this season, really cutting
in to these team’s potential off-season financial flexibility.
Again, from the top, losing money quoted: At $13M, Brady Tkachuk (VEG). At $11M,
Cody Franson (BOS/MON). At $9M, the Anaheim Ducks. And the Edmonton Oilers will
be losing both their $5M team endorsement, as well as Nazem Kadri’s.
Now, what you are really here for, the nail biting races down the stretch. GMs
take notice, max out your ice time on these players!
$10/$12M:
Vancouver’s Bo Horvat needs 2 powerplay goals, or 6 more shots than his current
goal pace.
Boston’s Andrei Vasilevsky needs 2 shutouts in the final games.
$9/$11M:
Washington’s Kakko needs 7 assists in their final 7 games
The Islander’s Panarin needs 3 goals in the final 8 games
Tampa’s Byram needs 6 assists in the final 8 games
The Islander’s Wilde needs 5 assists in the final 8 games
Columbus’ Rasmus Dahlin needs to avoid being -6 in the final games
Detroit’s Blackwood needs 1 win in the final games
$7/$9M:
Dallas’ Monahan needs 4 assists in the final games
Florida’s Guenther needs 4 goals or 4 assists in the final games
Toronto’s Owen Power needs 2 goals
The Florida Panthers are on pace to score their endorsement winning goal on the
final night
$3/$5M:
The Rangers’ Fleury is just on pace to finish out on +/-, or could score 2 goals
to seal it.
$2/$3M:
Toronto’s Zegras needs 1 more goal.
