Kraken Off-season Preview

By Adam Harris

While Seattle has made the playoffs in two of its first three seasons, this last year was a great disappointment to finish low in the standings and out in the first round.

The executive team has committed to ownership and fans this next year would not be a repeat of the past season, changes are coming.

The team expects dramatic turnover of forwards and defenders. Rumors are swirling that young talent Alexeyev and Zary may be on the move, and the same for veterans Gauthier, Lindblom and Grabovski.

The team does expect to retain Carl Hagelin and build a powerhouse frontline with John Tavares. Look for them to invest heavily in offense and rely on Spencer Knight’s continued development for goal protection.

The team only has a third round pick this year, but look for them to keep shopping draft picks as they look to win now.
