Duck's barely maintain bubble team status

By Dillon McGillivray

The Duck’s recent play has been subpar when compared to earlier in the season. They have maintained a decent foot-hold on a playoff spot for a good part of the season. This has all but evaporated for the ailing Duck’s.
Philip Larsen's injury has been a huge blow to the Duck’s defensive line in the past 2 blow-out losses for them. Losing 6-1 to Ottawa and 5-1 to Edmonton. There is some good news on the horizon. Larsen was seen warming up with the team before today’s game and is expected to return to the ice for Anaheim’s next game.
A few players that were expected to have good seasons have been struggling thus far. Martin Necas, Filip Zadina, and Victor Soderstrom have all had less then optimal seasons. Necas with only 41 points on the seasons split 14 goals and 27 assists and a +/- of a mere -13. Zadina with a lesser 36 points split 11 goals and 25 assists  with a better but still poor -10. This is frustrating for the team when these players are supposed to be top goal producers for the team.
The Duck’s hope to snap their 4 game losing skid with a much needed win against Carolina Hurricanes.
