20gp. 25%.

3rd in the west points wise.

With a new goalie. With an unproven goalie.

Without Pleckanec and with a battered UFA 3rd line.

Sure all teams can make excuses, and we are no exception.

WE-WO, win early, win often, if that can happen, if we can make it to 82pts on the season, we are in a good spot.

I'm curious what the rumor mill is saying, I'm curious what teams are saying, the Jets are in a decent spot, we're a bit shocked. What value Nino Niederriter has been, that is coming to an end, and Kuznetsov, so, what will happen next year, lots of questions to be answered throughout the year.

Gillies has been streaky, but he's young, this year and next on contract, a decent ov, but his pro stats are not quite where we'd like them to be to rely on him as the guy to carry us through a playoff run. We will be happy to make the show.

He seems to play great at home and will get the start against the wings, the outcome of that will determine where we go next, but he has an endo riding on him, so we may just let that ride for cash purposes and scuff the season and focus on our futures.

Domi, Nylander, Risto, Mikheyev, Zaitsev, Gillies, it's an exciting time, the D is solid, lots of teams spent money in camps on D, maybe that is something we will take a look at next year, lots of games we see are big scoring blow outs and that's something we'd like to get under control, 5 GA in a game is a bit excessive, not sure what parts of that are sim and what parts of that are team.

Everyone needs to play a more responsible (DI) game and a more defensive (DF) one, so look for those qualities to be a little more to the forefront than pure PA SC PC. OV is out the window in Winnipeg, the intangibles of a solid IT ST guy like Domi ... Nino, Domi, Willy and Miks are solid studs in the Hit department so far this year, but our 2nd line is clearly struggling with the DF side of things, so let's see what we can do to help them out.

Until next time.
