Shooting Out The Pants

By Jeff Nagle

Earlier this season during a game against the Boston Bruins, Jarvis was feeling particularly playful. So, when the puck was dumped into the Bruins' zone, he decided to have a little fun and make a behind-the-back pass to his teammate.

But instead of landing in his teammate's stick, the puck went straight into the pants of a Bruins' defenseman! The crowd was in stitches as the defenseman tried to fish the puck out of his pants, and Jarvis was in disbelief.

Just as everyone was starting to calm down, the puck bounced out of the defenseman's pants and landed right on Jarvis' stick. The crowd erupted in laughter as Jarvis took a shot and scored the easiest goal of his life.

From that day forward, Jarvis was known as the "pant shooter" and every time he stepped onto the ice, the fans would chant "shoot the pants!" in anticipation of another hilarious goal.

And so, Jarvis' trick shot became a legend in New York and a reminder to always have a sense of humor on the ice, because sometimes the best goals are the ones that come from unexpected places.
