This season has seen a few different line combinations as well as changes to the Jet's overall strategy. The results are mixed. Recent hire Anthony Duclair has access to limited ice time, and we fear this may stunt his overall development, although he seems to be finding his game in places. We want to push Collberg, Duclair, Howden. They are the next batch of middling futures of the org. We are thankful we have been having consistent goaltending, but defense, especially team defense, seems to be the prevailing issue. We are not sure where we are differing between top defensive clubs. In comparisons our d-core is slightly behind the curve in terms ot the meaty stats. That will be something we'd like to address in the offseason. Some high scoreres seem to have low IT and low ST, so we are opening the lane for folks like that (Collberg) to see if we can cash in on that trend.
The lines will continue to blend as the Jets push on for a hopeful playoff berth. Anything is possible. Anyone can win. RNG needs to be addressed. But how.
