Whirlwind of Moves in Nashville

By Anthony Erickson

After staying quiet as the season progressed, the Nashville Predators organization attacked the first two days of the rental period - making five trades before a game was played.

The prize coming to Nashville is Defenseman Andy Rogers. Long sought after by the franchise, the team picked up him up to bolster an already formidable blue line. He will pair with Jared Cowan on the top line, and gives the Predators three 82+ rated dmen.

The Predators then spent the weekend tinkering with the rest of their roster, acquiring Toni Rajala, Roman Josi, David Fischer, and Petr Straka. The team will skate into action just a fingernail below the salary cap line.

Reports suggest Nashville isn't done dealing - looking to bolster a third line that has lacked pop this season.
