Duck's on the Bubble!

By Dillon McGillivray

Anaheim has been struggling after an unfortunate injury to Filip Zadina. Zadina was injured in a scrappy game against the Kraken. Which has put him out for 1-2 months. The doctors haven't cleared Zadina for a return but they are optimistic that he should return to the lineup in a weeks time. The suspension that Alex Edler served also didn't help the team. The top 4 D-man was out of the lineup for 3 games.

The team has been on the bubble for the better part of the season. Sometimes swinging up to top of their division briefly before falling behind again. With the team only 2 points out of a play-off spot, they hope to turn their losing ways around and string together some W's.

The teams goaltenders are currently having a tough time getting back into form. With Halverson falling from a 0.905 save percentage too as low as a 0.886 save percentage. Timo is also not preforming up to snuff. His save percentage currently sits at a lowly 0.886. If the Duck's hope to make the play-offs this season, the goaltending will definitely have to improve.

The Portland Pirates are on an amazing win streak. Racking up W after W and climbing the standings. They currently sit at 3rd place overall. Even with the absence of Lucas Raymond whom received the call up for the majors in lieu of Zadina being injured. The Pirates have been on fire.

The Duck's hope to kick off a win streak in their next game against Boston. Getting the points against struggling teams could make or break the Duck's season.
