Anaheim's Season Considered a Bust

By Dillon McGillivray

Anaheim's season was not what they expected it to be. After a strong first half of the season they went on a huge losing skid. Only picking up a win here or there while primarily losing every game. Anaheim finished in the bottom 5 of the league with only 73 points on the season. A decrease from last years playoff push. There are some positives to take away from the season though. The Ducks worked on their core defense. Picking up Larsen and selling off Madsen to get some more cash for a next seasons workouts. Also, they will have a decent pick in the upcoming entry draft.

Anaheim’s core players all had decent season numbers. With JT Miller and Matt D’Agostini both having impressive 67 point seasons. Followed by James Neal with 63 points on the season. Martin Necas had an impressive rookie season with 57 points on the season and meeting his endorsement targetin the dying embers of the season. Brandon Halverson has been a word on many GM's mouths this season. With a save percentage above .900 and 8 shutouts on the seasons he’ll be a hot topic in the off-season.

GM McGillivray is hoping on having an active and successful off-season. Which will lead to a successful
season.
