L.A. Endorsement Review

When there is nothing else to discuss!

By Bobby Berger

With nothing much left to play for besides the Connor Bedard lottery, let's check in on where things stand with the Los Angeles Kings 2029 endorsements.

On the bright side, the Kings for the third season in a row put up their faith in goaltender Viktor Fasth to secure a big pay day. While Fasth is having one of the worst years of his career, he has faced 1571 shots with about 19 games to go. At his current rate (barring the injury he will most likely end up with the way the season is going) Fasth should not have a problem eclipsing 1800 shots faced. That would be a big relief as the Kings other endorsement is looking all but dead.

The Kings took a second big gamble this year, banking on Trevor Zegras to take the next step in a hoped rise to stardom. Zegras, a 21 year old in his third FNHL campaign, is having a decent season with 16 goals and 25 assists which is on pace for a 53 point season. Unfortunately, his endorsement calls for 28 goals, 42 assists or 70 points. Numbers that without an insane hot streak will not be reached. This will hurt the Ki gs ability to camp some prospects this offseason, but articles like this one should stem the bleeding.

You win some, you lose some. That's why you play the game!
