Philly Strings Together Three Wins

Flyers move into tie for 4th in the East

After what was a shaky start to the 2024 campaign, the Philadelphia Flyers have surged up the Eastern Conference standings after three consecutive wins. The matches were all against Western Conference clubs; Calgary, LA and Colorado. They outscored their opponents 13-6. Richard Bachman has been the Flyers MVP thus far with an impressive goals against of 2.32 and a save percentage of 0.915 (4th ranked in the league). His strong 2023 season combined with a beneficial off-season camp has reaped immediate rewards.

The one negative outcome of the last three contests was the injury sustained by top pair defender Cody Franson. He remains day-to-day with a thigh injury. Franson has missed one contest thus far and will likely miss an additional two games (St. Louis and Buffalo).

The Flyers are back in action Wednesday vs the Blues (9-13-2-1).
