Sens/Flyers Skate to a Draw

Something the Flyers are all to familiar with from season 2023; ties. Why on earth do we still have ties? What year is it? Thursday night saw the Flyers play guest to the Ottawa Senators. Two clubs with strengths and weaknesses opposite to each-other meant this game was close to impossible to predict. Filip Forsberg opened the scoring with the lone goal of the first period; his first of the season to give the Flyers the lead after 20. The second period saw the Sens score two goals in 21 seconds to take a 2-1 lead before Matthieu Perreault potted his first of the campaign to notch the score at two after 40 minutes. Ottawa struck early in the third from a goal by Kaspar, soon to be followed by Cody Franson's first of the season. The game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Three-Stars
1) Marc-Andre Cliche (1 goal, 1 assist)
2) Richard Bachman (30 saves on 33 shots)
3) Duncan Siemens (2 assists, +1)

The two teams minor league clubs also faced each other. The contest resulted in a 3-0 shutout performance for Philly from promising prospect Mason McDonald
