2024 Salary Cap: $67.7M

Devils Put Up 8

In another difficult season, the New Jersey Devils offense finally clicked last night, scoring 8 goals in an 8-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jonathan Drouin led the way, as the young winger has been fantastic since coming over in a trade from the Predators. He has been nearly a point per game player for the Devils, playing on the top line and powerplay.

"We knew he had the talent, he just needed the minutes," said the Devils GM.

Despite the news of a disappointing season, the Devils actually sit just 6 points out of the 8th playoff spot in the East. With the parity in the FNHL, this team is actually not that far out of it.

Unfortunately, the game did have injuries. Kris Versteeg is expected to miss at least the next few games, and Oskar Sundqvist, who has performed admirably since being called up 6 games ago, will miss at least a week.

On the other hand, John Carlson will return to the lineup, albeit in a limited role, after missing the last 4.
