Flyers Hockey is Back!

By Julian B

After a deep playoff run just a couple months back, the Flyers are poised to defend their conference leading season. 2025 saw the Flyers enter the playoffs as the top seed in the east with a record of 47-23-10-2. Certainly a record that will be hard to beat, but Flyers fans and management believe the club is even stronger than in 2025. The roster is for the most part filled with the same names minus a new trio on the third line. Left winger Dylan Larkin is perhaps the most interesting player to observe on the roster. The 24 year old is on the final year of his contract and could test RFA in the next off-season. Look for Larkin to come out with high motivation as he tries to secure his place among the Flyers top six for years to come.

Projected top nine forwards for opening day

Kane - Backstrom - Bourret
Larkin - RNH - Dadonov
Quailer - Bouchard - Phillips

Projected defensive pairings

Franson - Byfuglien
Gormley - McAvoy
Wiercioch - Byfuglien
Franson - McAvoy

Starting goalie: Richard Bachman

Several players spent time in intensive training camp sessions over the off-season. Watch out for this high flying offense, tough as nails defense and brick wall goaltending.

Philly will open their season on the road in Carolina. A team that has seen a plethora of changes, most notably trading away long time star centermen Sidney Crosby (FLA) and Steven Stamkos (NSH).
Lets get this show on the road.
