Sweet Dreams Sweatt

By Jeff Nagle

This is Bob Cobb coming to you from Rumors Bar & Grill in downtown New York with another report on the Rags.

Though it was hoped that 'Wild Bill' William Sweatt would be able to produce with the Pro team this season, the first 14 games haven't went well for him. With 3 assists and a mere 11 shots over those 14 games, the writing was on the wall. Wild Bill was sent down to Hartford and will likely remain there unless he's moved to another team. A few teams have inquired about adding the speedster in hopes that a change of scenery will do the trick, but thus far no triggers have been pulled on the trade front.

Aside from that, the team has been having issues scoring as of late and it's expect that some lineup tinkering will take place. Word is that RW Tanner Pearson will be called up in hopes that his heavy shot will spark the struggling 3rd line. Will that plan pan out? We shall see, folks. All I know is that C Kevin Lynch has been a real piece of crap out there this season. After he whined and whined about being shopped last season and claimed he was the '3rd line center of the future,' he comes out and plays like this. Him trying to win faceoffs is like watching a one-legged cat try to bury turds on a frozen lake.

Carey Price has put up 2 shutouts in the past 3 games against Phoenix and Pittsburgh respectively. With a .920 save percentage, he seems to finding his game as the season progresses and with the goals being tough to come by lately, the timing couldn't be better.

Up next, the Rags host the Red Wings and though they should handle this random 10-4 roster easily enough.. anything can and WILL happen in the FNHL. Until next time, stay greasy NYC~
