Frozen Four Prediction

America over Canada

By Christopher Kennedy

Conference Finals:

Montreal Canadiens over Ottawa Senators in 5
I was really hoping to get the 6 seed, as I really saw the path to the cup as the easiest there, as the 3 seed was defeatable and the 1 seed was going to be easier than the 2. Naturally, I got stuck against Walsh's powerhouse of a Habs team. While Peter Delmas is a solid goalie, the Sens only have 2 other legitimate top end players. Walsh has 6 or 7 depending on who you ask, with depth to boot.

Nashville Predators over Vancouver Canucks in 6
This by no means is meant to offend Aaron's awesome Wild team, but these are the two I expect to see in the West finals every year. I want to see this series go 7, as I think both teams are at their peak, but I do see a clear winner in this right now. While Graham has built a deep team with a star goalie, Harris one-upped him in numerous areas. His depth at forward is more high-end. His goalie is 3 OV higher. His mid level D is just a little bit better.

FINALS:

Nashville Predators over Montreal Canadiens in 5.
Again, the talent is there to make this go 7, but I just don't see the games falling that way. I think the Habs take game 2 to make it look edgy, and then the Preds win out to get the cup back in America.
