"What the hell is wrong with my team?"
- Jay Marchand

From The Mouth of Prez Broche

Jay Marchand worries me at times. I personally think that Jay is one of, if not the most knowledgeable FNHL GM. This worries me because his teams constantly struggle and I feel like eventually he is going to go postal and start shooting. In reality, Jay is one of the top GMs in this league and he has been around forever. When I think FNHL GMs I always think of his name because I have seen it so much over the last five seasons. Every single FNHL season you can bank on Dallas being a very competitive team because Marchand would not have it any other way. I do hope Jay sticks around in this league for a long time because he is a fantasy league owners dream GM. Passionate about hockey, his team, and the league he participates in; you can't ask for more than that. I am not going to say congrats because you earned this. This is what is coming to you because of all the hard work you have done in the past. So I do not say congrats, instead I say thank you.

Jay Marchand was the person who brought me into the FNHL and the FHL Sim world. Jay and I went to school together (along with JvT and Drinkill) in the same program and I consider him a very good friend outside of the FNHL world. Inside FNHL he is both a great friend, a great GM and a great rival. Edmonton and Dallas have made many trades of the seasons, and he is a very easy GM to deal with and always willing to talk trade or about other deals going down. An original member of the FNHL, it is very good to see Jay entered into the Hall of Fame, he deserves it and is one of the pillars this league has been built on.

What can I say about good ol' Jay Marchand. We've certainly been on the opposite sides of arguments numerous times over the years, I'm sure we can all remember when I called him out on a trade last year...I certainly regret that one now though... but that certainly doesn't mean I don't respect him. He has always had one of the better teams in the league with the most active trade record. He is never afraid of stirring the tanks, especially when his team drops a few games in a row. Whenever he actually is at his computer, he is always good for a solid conversation about anything FNHL, especially trades. Jay Marchand, certainly a Hall of Fame General Manager, that truly showcases what our league has become.

For the short time I have been in the league he has been one of the easiest guys to deal with. Its unbelievable that he can find the time to participate with all the stats etc. he keeps, I can barely send the minimum amount of press releases. It just shows his dedication to the league.

From The Mouth of David Drinkill

Well what can I say about Jay or Donnie as a few of us call him.  Firstly I wouldn't not even be in the league if it were not for him.  He brought me into the league and answered the many many questions I had back then and still do today.  Jay has put up with me through many trades and trade talks.  His input when I needed help at the start of my GM career is priceless.  Donnie has always put together a very competitive team and a team that many teams around the league are jealous of.  He seems to always get the best young players in the league and turn them into strong FNHL regulars.  The best part about Jay is that he always participates to the max and is a big part of this league and why it runs so smoothly.  He is an asset to this league that any fantasy league owner would die to have.  Congrats Donnie and thanks for everything.

From The Mouth of Jay Mohr

Jay has always kept his team extremely competitive, and keeps maintaining a gentelmanly approach to the game at all times. While I have not personally conducted many trades, if any, with Jay, I know the banter, participation, and activity he has conducted in this league has made the FNHL a better place year in and year out. Hats off to yet another great FNHL GM, he deserves the honor of the Hall of Fame for sure!

From The Mouth of Kevin Ku

I remember Jay Marchand pre-FNHL.  He tried to run a league as a Commish (PFHL or NFHL??).  The league only lasted for a few "sim" weeks.  But in all seriousness, Jay Marchand has been an inspiration to me ever since I started in fantasy hockey.  He was always the guy I could go to for a fair trade, though usually the trades would be huge and never minor trades. He is very dedicated to his team, and he has done so much for this league as well.  He is definitely Hall of Fame worthy.

From The Mouth of Dave Broche Sr.

Jays' induction into the Hall of Fame is long overdue. His franchises career win percentage of .608 is 2nd highest in the FNHL. Jay record proves that he is one of the very best GM's in the league. Has been an active participant and supporter of the FNHL for a long time. Truly one of the best. What more can you say.......Congrats Jay
